The Metropolitan Orchestra’s (TMO) final performance for 2021 conducted by Artistic Director and Chief Conductor Sarah-Grace Williams, features another ground breaking world premiere by Australian female composer and TMO Artist in Residence Keyna Wilkins, written in collaboration with leading indigenous didjeridu player Gumaroy Newman. Commencing with Glinka’s powerful Overture To Ruslan and Ludmila the orchestra will then proudly present Wilkin’s and Newman’s world premiere of a new didjeridu concerto. Elgar’s outstanding Enigma Variations will complete an irresistible night of powerful emotions, scenery and wonderful imagery.
