Considered one of Tchaikovsky’s happiest works, Souvenir De Florence sets the upbeat tone of Met Concert #3 with bouncy rhythms, sensual contrasts and happy folk-dance tempos. Pianist-composer Daniel Rojas will join TMO strings for a world-premiere performance of his Libertango Suite which is heavily influenced by Astor Piazzolla, and complemented by Rojas’ distinctive take on salsa and mambo rhythms.
